NetLibrary is a full text collection of electronic books. The books are displayed with a navigation bar on the left side, which allows users to find sections and chapters quickly. The full text of each electronic book is searchable, allowing users to easily find passages they need.
What is an e-book?
An e-book is an electronic version of a printed book. E-books can be viewed online from any computer connected to the Internet. You can preview an e-book for 15 minutes for quick reference, or you can read them at your leisure. Foley Center e-books checkout for 24 hours.
What is in our e-book collection?
The library has purchased a core collection of about 2,500 titles. These titles include works in Pacific Northwest History, current books on computing and programming languages and general reference works. Our students also have access to the Public Collection on netLibrary. The Public Collection contains public domain e-books that are free to everybody.
The green box on the right side of the screen titled, "In Our Collection" provides links to listings of the content Gonzaga University users can access through NetLibrary.
How do I access our e-books?
Gonzaga's NetLibrary collection is available on campus without a login. If a user wishes to access NetLibrary from off campus, s/he must create a free account. To create an account, click on the "Create a Free Account" link in the upper right corner of the screen. An account also lets users create a list of favorites and make notes in individual full-text eContent items, as well as customize account preferences.
How do I create a netLibrary account?
- Go to netLibrary
- Click Create and Account
- Enter your identifying information, including user name and email address
- Click Submit
